Spoofing

Login as admin, go to users next to every user there is a little padlock, click on it.  While you are spoofing you’ll still have the little blue admin widget but it will you as whom you are logged in and offer you the option to revert to being an admin.

Setting up

ESSE: How to Set up A Conference Session

Conference sessions enable you to communicate with another person, by video, audio only or through typed chat.

Step 1: Login to the Existential Academy Website

Go to https://www.existentialacademy.com/login.html and at the top of the site you will see a grey banner with a login section. Press this and you should see the page below.

 

Your password should have been sent to you by email. Type in your email and password and press login.

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2: Setting up a Conference Session

You should see the page below:

 

Click Conference sessions and you should see:

Press Add Session and you should see:

The next step is to set up the session and invite your client to the session. Invitations are generated and sent out by the system, using the information you enter on the website. Please use the table below as guidance.

Section

Notes

Session Title

How you would describe the session. For example ESSE support session

Start Time

Put in the date and time the session is due to start

Duration

The duration of the session. This can be extended during the session.

Session Description

Choose between Video or Chat (text based support).

Invite Subject Line

This is essentially what the client will see in the subject line of their invitation email

Invite Content

This is the main text of the email that your client will see. At the moment the default is some technical information, please amend as you see fit. 

Session Footer

The email sign off again, please amend as you see fit.

Users Attending

If any other members of staff are attending the session, please select them from the list. Otherwise leave this section.

Invite User

This is where you enter the email address of your client.

Your client will then be sent an email with a link to the conference session. When it is time for them to join you, they can press the link to go directly to the conference session.

Just before you are due to start the session, log into the EA website site and in the top left, you will see

 

Press join session to begin.

Step 3: Navigating the Conference Session during a Session

Once you have joined the session, it will look like this:

You can turn off the video by pressing the video icon.

 


Below the video screen you should see:

In order to make text based responses:

Type in the box shown here and click post.

Responses will be shown in the box above.

Below this section, you will find features enabling you to add session notes, invite others to the session and extend the session. See the diagram below.

 

If you wish to end the session, please type in a message here and press End.
